Welcome to the 33rd Zia Regional Rodeo in beautiful Santa Fe New Mexico. This year’s rodeo is once again at the Rodeo de Santa Fe Rodeo Grounds, located at 3237 Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, New Mexico. We have received your contestant pre-registration and would like to thank-you for choosing to compete in our rodeo this year. This letter includes information relating to contestants, registration and competition, for more information please visit the contestant page at NMGRA .org. When you leave please strip your stalls completely.<\/span><\/p>\n

(There is a code for gate after hour arrivals please call Weston for gate access.)
There are new stalls this year for y\u2019all to use, if you come in Thursday with horses, it\u2019s an additional 25.00 charge.<\/p>\n

Shavings are available for 10.00 per bag.<\/strong>
(IGRA Rodeo Rules VII.20) Horse contestants are provided one (1) stall at no cost. Contestants reserving additional stalls will be required to pay stall fees of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per additional stall for the rodeo weekend. There are no tack stalls available.<\/p>\n

Pets are not permitted in any other location of the venue.<\/strong> Please keep leashes and near your camp. All legal service animals are allowed. Please be respectful and clean up after your pets.<\/p>\n

There are spots with RV hook ups,<\/strong> water sewer, with 30amp power that are available for $35 per day some $20 per day with electric and water\u2026 spaces become available at 12 noon on Thursday, August 21, 2025. These spaces are first come first serve; no spaces will be held in advance for anyone.
Dry camping packages available for the-weekend 4 Days $100.00\u2026 please see our website: NMGRA.org -Zia Rodeo RV\/Contestant Parking. Contestants with badges – dry camping is free of charge. Donations are always welcome on our website using our pay pal icon.<\/p>\n

Buddy Passes<\/strong> are $25.00\u2026Buddy Passes will be available at contestant registration only Friday 5-7pm. No Buddy Passes will be available after the close of registration. No replacement Buddy Passes will be issued if original is lost, stolen, or destroyed. Buddies must be present at registration with contestant to purchase passes.
Contestants traveling with children aged 14 and under, Junior Buddy Passes are available for $15 each. There is a maximum of 1 Adult and 2 Junior Buddy Passes per contestant.<\/p>\n

Contestant Registration<\/strong> is 5-7 PM at the rodeo grounds Friday August 22 , 2025. Under the grandstands west-side of the arena.
The Rodeo Secretary is David Hill if you have an emergency and will be late you must call David at . All entry fees must be paid by cash or card, please no checks.<\/p>\n

LATE ENTRY FEE<\/strong>

Late entries for Zia Regional 33, will be accepted. A flat $50 late fee will be charged per contestant for rough stock and roping events. The late fee applies to contestants who have not pre-registered, as well as pre-registered contestants adding these events after the pre-registration deadline. New contestants (those not assigned an IGRA contestant number prior to August 1, 2025) will not be charged a late fee.<\/p>\n

Registration for rough stock events will not be allowed after pre-registration ends. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

ADDED MONEY<\/strong> \u2013
Unfortunately there will not be any added money this year. However, NMGRA will be giving $150 ($50 per team member) per day for best Wild Drag Race Costume with no repeating costumes. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


No Smoking <\/strong>will be permitted in the arena or chute areas during the running of the events. Please put butts in cans.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


Camp-events<\/strong> will have a (1) one-minute time limit.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


Contestant badge must be worn at all times for all events.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


Non-Participants:<\/strong> Please note that the main gate opens at 9:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. No one without a badge is permitted on the rodeo grounds prior to this time. If you\u2019re traveling with friends who do not have a buddy pass or badge, please understand that they will not be permitted to enter the grounds until the gates open to the public. Gate opening time is subject to change as the gate opening requires the approval from the Fire Marshal.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

IGRA Rodeo Rule IV.4 will be strictly enforced by NMGRA, along with all other rules. Any participant in an IGRA rodeo as a rodeo contestant, stock contractor and personnel, arena\/chute volunteer, rodeo official, or security personnel, may be asked by any acting rodeo official to leave the rodeo arena and secured working areas if under the influence or in possession of an open container of alcohol or any illegal drugs of any kind.
Disciplinary action may be taken against any participant in an IGRA rodeo for the possession of an open container of alcohol or any illegal drug in the secured areas of the rodeo including the arena, chutes, barn, or contestant areas at any time from the start of the first rodeo event until the rodeo conclusion each day. <\/span>Disciplinary action may include disqualification, and\/or loss of <\/span>certification. Disciplinary action may include disqualification, <\/span>and\/or loss of certification. This includes any buddies you have <\/span>signed in under your contestant number.<\/span><\/p>\n

Post rodeo review meeting<\/strong> will be 30 minutes after the last event is posted in the Grandstands.<\/p>\n

Contestants, Officials, and Volunteers. <\/b>NMGRA will be providing breakfast and lunch free of charge at the food shack on the contestant side of the arena by the black bull statue. <\/span><\/p>\n


<\/font>Awards Ceremony:<\/strong> The Awards Ceremony is scheduled to begin at 8 PM on Sunday August 24th, 2025<\/p>\n

Entertainment:<\/b><\/p>

There will be an out of town Royalty Show on Friday night right after registration ends, with dancing following the show. <\/p>

Saturday evening after the rodeo the NMGRA and IGRA Royalty Teams will be putting on a show with Dancing following.<\/p>

There is a Dance Floor this year for you to brush up on your two step moves, and line dancing.<\/p>

The City of Santa Fe has a strict noise ordinance that will not allow us to continue the fun and festivities past 10PM. <\/p>\n

Rodeo School<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friday August 22, 2025.  Registration (on-site) will begin at 10:30am and school starts at 11am.  The cost will be $20 per event, with two goes each. Chuck and Brian will teach the rough stock events, David and Greg will teach speed events.  Lunch will be provided during the break between rough stock and speed events.  <\/p>\n
